How to care for your extensions

  1. All curly and wavy textures should be pre-washed and hung from the weft to air dry before it is installed. Heat should only be used once every two weeks, refrain from every day use of heat on your extensions to prevent thinning, texture damage, as well as shortening of the extensions due to burning your hair ends. Please note that as with your natural hair, when heat is applied repeatedly the curl pattern may loosen over time. All curl patterns are not exactly the same as this is 100% Virgin hair.
  2. When shampooing  your extensions, stroke the hair down using your hands from weft to tip, rinse thoroughly, and proceed to condition the hair in the same manner, while conditioning use a wide toothed comb to detangle the hair from the ends up to the weft to prevent damage to the hair ends, rinse using cool water to leave the hair soft and shiny.
  3. While sleeping be sure to protect your extensions using a bonnet or scarf of some sort that is made of satin or silk material.
  4. Brushing should be done using a vent brush only, starting at the hair ends working your way up toward the weft.
  5. If the hair is colored, specifically lightened, extra steps will need to be taken to assure the hairs quality stays in tact, like daily light oils, conditioning as well as light heat.
  6. Generally if you would like to darken the hair, this can be done so in one process with out having to first lighten the hair, if you wish to color your hair lighter you may first have to lighten (bleach) the hair and then apply the color you desire.
  7. If your hair has been exposed to salt water, wash and condition before styling again.
